Amir Khan Arrested
Young British boxing sensation may face jail
It’s almost as though he tore a page right from the heart of the Naseem Hamed playbook.
Boxing sensation Amir Khan, not unlike his hero the Prince, has been arrested and charged with dangerous driving.
According to the BBC, Greater Manchester Police said the 19-year-old Olympic silver medalist was arrested on Saturday in his hometown of Bolton.
The arrest was a long time coming, following an incident that occurred in March on Bradshawgate where a man had his leg broken by a speeding car.
Kahn is out on bail and is expected to appear in court at a date TBA.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said that “On Thursday 2 March 2006, police were called to Bradshawgate in Bolton at about 4:45 pm following reports that a car was in collision with a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital suffering from a broken leg.”
No word of rebuttal as yet from Team Khan.
