Atlas At Borders/Barnes & Nobles In Ny/Nj
ESPN’s Teddy Atlas has book readings/signings next week
Fight fans in and around New York who read his autobiography “Atlas: A Son’s Journey from the Streets to the Ring to a Life Worth Living,” and even those who have not, will have a chance to meet the author at Borders and Barnes & Nobles bookstores in New York and New Jersey during the next two weeks.
Teddy Atlas will be reading from and signing copies of his new book, greeting his fans and reading public.
On Sunday, July 16 at 3 pm, Atlas will be at the Barnes & Noble in Carle Place, NY.
On Monday, June 17 at 7 pm, the author/ESPN color commentator will appear at the Borders in the Time Warner Center in Manhattan.
On Sunday, July 23 at 4 pm, Atlas will be at the Barnes & Noble in Clifton, NJ.
And the following Sunday, July 30 at 2 pm, Staten Island native Teddy Atlas appears at the B & N in the Staten Island Mall on Richmond Avenue.
TSS asked Atlas what he hoped people would get from his book.
I want people to understand that it’s not just a boxing book, that it’s hopefully something that concerns people in some kind of meaningful way. Not that I’m meaningful, said Atlas, but in the way that some of the experiences in there they can relate to and maybe concerns them in a sensible way.
Sometime you wonder, where did this emotion come from, where did this pattern come from? People often wonder where these feelings, this anger comes from, and this book takes a little bit of the search of the reasons and investigates and traces to a certain extent how we become what we become, and why those things that impact us in early life stay with us and form and influence us later in life.
