Closed Circuit Tickets on Sale Monday, Aug. 15 at 10:00 a.m. PST
LAS VEGAS (August 12, 2011) – Mayweather Promotions, Golden Boy Promotions and MGM Resorts International are proud to announce that the most anticipated boxing mega-event of 2011, “STAR POWER: MAYWEATHER vs. ORTIZ”, will be available via closed circuit viewing for all fight fans in Las Vegas Saturday, Sept. 17. The global event will attract fight fans worldwide and to ensure everyone has the opportunity to be a part of this unprecedented event, it was announced today that MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York-New York, Luxor and Circus Circus will host the closed circuit telecast. “STAR POWER” will be produced and distributed by HBO-Pay-Per-View® with the live telecast beginning at 6:00 p.m. PST.
Tickets for the closed circuit telecast are priced at $50, not including handling fees. All seats are general admission and go on sale Monday, Aug. 15 at 10:00 a.m. PST at each individual property's box office outlets or by phone with a major credit card at 866-799-7711. Ticket sales are limited to eight (8) per person. Tickets for the viewings at MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay will also be available through Ticketmaster by calling (800) 745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
