Dierry Jean To Fight on the Boxing Channel Aug. 17
The organization Eye of the Tiger Management is planning two major events during the summer that will surely fulfill the cravings of boxing fans in Quebec. The second gala of the Fight Club series starring Dierry Jean, ranked #8 in the world by the WBC, will be held on August 17th at a unannounced location in Montreal. Another gala, this time taking the form of a ”Pro-Am” combining professional and amateur fights on the same card, will be held on August 31st at the Hotel de la Concorde in Quebec. The caliber of the confrontations that will be presented at these two evenings will guarantee a lot of tension and emotion in the crowd! Dierry ‘Dougy Style’ Jean (22-0, 14 KO’s) will defend for the time his NABF belt at a highly anticipated duel against the Mexican veteran Cosme Rivera (35-14-3, 24 KO’s), an extremely tough and experienced pugilist. This will be a crucial fight in the career of the Quebec prodigy who will try to capture the victory and so a spot among the Worlds top 5 in his division.
Nicholson Poulard (18-3, 8 KO’s), Ahmad Cheikho (7-4-2, 5 KO’s), Baha Laham (9-0, 4 KO’s), Schiller Hyppolite (4-0, 2 KO’s) and Chris Plaitis (1-0) will also be part of the program.
