Mike Lee Off Saturday Houston Card
Light heavyweight prospect Mike Lee (11-0, 6 Kos) of Notre Dame and Subway commercial fame, has pulled out of his December 15th bout versus Isiah Barela (4-2). The fight was scheduled to take place on the untelevised undercard portion of this Saturday’s HBO World Championship Boxing telecast featuring Nonito Donaire versus Jorge Arce.
A source from Lee’s camp indicates the fighter is unable to compete because he is suffering from debilitating headaches related to the wearing of Invisalign braces.
“We cannot take the risk,” says the source.
