HBO’s Hopkins-Cloud Card Gets 1.2 Million Viewers
Saturday’s HBO World Championship Boxing, topped by the Bernard Hopkins-Tavoris Cloud main event, drew 1.2 million viewers, live, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Hopkins became the oldest boxer ever to win a world title, at age 48, breaking his own mark, set when he was 46, against Jean Pascal.
HBO has shown three boxing cards in 2013; those three events are the three most watched live boxing cable telecasts of the year to this date.
If you’re into comparing and contrasting, HBO attracted 69% more viewers than the Oct. 20 Barclays card presented by Showtime.
