Kelly Swanson Honored at Raging Babe Brunch
THE 2ND RAGING BABE BRUNCH SPONSORED BY MAYWEATHER PROMOTIONS HONORS EXTRAORDINARY WOMEN IN BOXING
Las Vegas (October 2, 2013) – The 2nd Raging Babe Brunch sponsored by Mayweather Promotions took place on the morning of the highly anticipated mega fight “THE ONE: MAYWEATHER VS. CANELO” at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The vision behind this intimate event was to create a foundation for building a powerful network of women in the sport of boxing in addition to recognizing some of its influencers.
Alongside its theme of uniting influential woman in the sport of boxing, the brunch honored special guest Kelly Swanson of Swanson Communications for her hard work and drive which ultimately led to her becoming one of the most highly respected people in her field. Through 25 years in the sport, she’s worked with names from Riddick Bowe during his heavyweight title run to Bernard Hopkins and 10-time champion in five different weight classes Floyd “Money” Mayweather. Swanson’s experience in developing and implementing full-scale public relations and marketing campaigns, multi-tiered corporate promotions, and managing award-winning events has been unparalleled, and Saturday’s brunch became her platform to be recognized for her many contributions as she was presented with the Meritorious Achievement Award by boxing great, Bernard Hopkins.
The intimate gathering included 40 phenomenal women who have stood out as leaders and supporters that created a significant role in boxing for themselves while opening the doors for many others. Guests enjoyed mimosas upon entering the chic and elegant decorum with a gourmet feast set for a queen. Each table participated in team building activities and had the opportunity to win prizes such as exclusive designer clutches, show tickets, dinner vouchers, gourmet sweets, & weekend getaways at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino.
Following the success of the inaugural Raging Babe Brunch, which took place on May 4th of this year, it was decided that this remarkable event was not only necessary but positively influential in bringing women that have stood out as leaders and supporters in the boxing world together. “The first Raging Babe Brunch was so special, women involved in the sport of boxing were able to gather together, cross paths, and begin creating a network to impact the sport of boxing together,” said Raging Babe CEO Michelle Rosado. “Being a prominent supporter of these events and Raging Babe’s overall vision is something that Mayweather Promotions is proud to be involved with, said Mayweather Promotions CEO, Leonard Ellerbe. What Raging Babes is doing is a great thing and we’re happy to be involved.” As the Raging Babe brand continues to expand and venture into projects across the globe, you can plan on seeing a lot more of these events.
