Resolutions From The Main Events Squad
As they close out the year 2013, Main Events stable took some time to reflect the past year and make their New Year's resolutions for 2014.
Tomasz “Goral” Adamek: “My dream has always to be the heavyweight champion. In 2014 I will do everything I can to make that happen.”
Isaac “Golden Boy” Chilemba: “I've got a feeling that 2014 is going to be the year of success for me. God blessed me with the amazing team I have. I wanna say thanks to my manager Jodi Solomon, trainer Buddy McGirt, my promoter Main Events, my family and all my supporters who stood by me and believed in me. In 2013 I went through a loss, that threw me a lot but it made me strong and very well prepared for the future. This year I'm looking forward to big things; being at the top of my division; becoming a world champion again; and working towards being the best I can possibly be.”
Steve “USS” Cunningham: “I don't really do New Year's resolutions, but I'm looking for 2014 to be a stellar year for my heavyweight career.”
Karl “Dynamite” Dargan: “I will fight as often as I can. I want to get up in the rankings so I can fight for a world title.”
Anatoliy “The Gladiator” Dudchenko: “My New Year's resolution is to put more effort towards making my dreams a reality. Because miracles do happen and dreams can come true!”
Vyacheslav “Czar” Glazkov: “In the coming year I want to fight as many times possible. I want to get into the highest rankings and get closer, or even actually get a championship fight by the end of year 2014.”
Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev: “My goal in 2014 is to fight a minimum of 4 times and to fight one of the other champions, like IBF, WBC or WBA. I want to have another belt by the end of the coming year.”
Ilshat “The Sheriff” Khusnulgatin: “The end of 2013 was successful for me. I signed a contract with a good team. I intend to improve the quality of my boxing. In the coming year my goal is to improve and enhance my position in the rankings.”
Thabiso Mchunu: “My resolution is simple, I resolve to get the WBC belt!”
Curtis “Showtime” Stevens: “My resolution for 2014 is to stop thinking so much in the ring and take these middleweights out of here.”
Lionell “Lonnie B” Thompson: “My resolutions are to stay in shape and dominate my opponents so I can be on the road to become light heavyweight champion of the world.”
