Los Angeles, California (March 27, 2014) The Kick-Off Press Conference for “FIGHT FOR PEACE HEAVYWEIGHT HISTORY”, The World Boxing Council Heavyweight Championship was held today at the famed Heritage Hall on the campus of the University of Southern California. Joining top rated contenders BERMANE “B. Ware” STIVERNE and CHRIS “The Nightmare” ARREOLA were their promoters, Hall of Famer Don King and longtime California promoter Dan Goossen.

Stiverne, 23-1-1 (20 KO’s), of La Plaine, Haiti and now living in Miami, Florida and Arreola, 36-3-0 (31 KO’s), the Mexican-American of Riverside, California will face-off on Saturday, May 10 at the USC Galen Center on the campus of the University of Southern California for the vacant WBC Heavyweight World Championship which will be telecast live on a special Saturday primetime ESPN broadcast. The winner of this bout will become the first person of their descent, in the history of boxing, to hold the title Heavyweight World Champion.
“FIGHT FOR PEACE HEAVYWEIGHT HISTORY”is presented by Don King Promotions and Goossen Tutor Promotions.
Tickets for “FIGHT FOR PEACE HEAVYWEIGHT HISTORY” will be available starting this Friday, March 28 at 10:00 a.m. PT through Ticketmaster (www.Ticketmaster.com) and the Galen Center Boxing Office located in the student union (213-740-4672).
Tickets are priced at $300, $200, $100, $50 and $25 (plus fees) with the non-televised undercard starting at 3:30 p.m. PT.
