Marquez vs. Alvarado A True Crossroads Fight
Writers and programmers tend to overuse the term “crossroads fight” but it can be argued with conviction that the forthcoming fight between Juan Manuel Marquez and Mike Alvarado fits the profile.
Marquez, 41 in August, coming off a loss to Tim Bradley, meets Alvarado (34-2), a 33-year-old who has taken some hard knocks in his ten year pro career, coming off a loss to Ruslan Provodnikov, on May 17 at the Forum in LA, and on HBO, on a card promoted by Top Rank.
Check out HBO’s “Road To Marquez vs. Alvarado” to get the lowdown on the clash, and the stakes.
