ROC NATION SPORTS ANNOUNCES
throne boxing PERFORMANCES FOR JANUARY 9 EVENT
LIVE ON FOX SPORTS 1
FROM THE THEATER AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
WHO: Roc Nation Sports announces throne boxing performance lineup for the January 9 event which will air live on Fox Sports 1 from The Theater at Madison Square Garden featuring undefeated Dusty “The Beltway Boriqua” Hernandez-Harrison vs. Long Island’s own Tommy “The Razor” Rainone for the vacant WBC Continental Americas Welterweight Championship in the main event. In addition to the great action inside the ring, the January 9 edition of throne boxing will feature several notable Roc Nation touches that will further serve spectators with an enhanced fan experience. Hit master DJ Mustard will serve alongside notable event emcee and “Voice of New York” Angie Martinez throughout the night with Brooklyn’s own two-time platinum recording artist Fabolous taking the stage between fights for a special performance. World famous Michael Buffer will serve as ring announcer.
Angie Martinez – “I’m so excited to be a part of throne boxing because not only have I been a long time boxing fan, but also because the event will introduce a new multi-performance format, giving all sports and concert fans a chance to experience a once in a lifetime event!”
DJ Mustard – “I love the energy surrounding boxing matches. With throne boxing adding performances and a vibe into the venue, the atmosphere is just going to be taken to the next level.”
Fabolous – “Boxing has always had an impact on me. Being from Brooklyn and raised in the Mike Tyson era, he was our hero and he represented someone making it that came from the same walk of life as us. Also doing it by fighting his way out put the cherry on top. His emergence in sports also made us fans of boxing. He educated us on the sport and made it an event every fight!”
