Sheer Pumped For Lopes Debut, Quigley Outing
Sheer New Year Kicking Into Gear; Lopes and Quigley Ready To Rock
Sheer Prospects Looking To Impress
Tuesday, January 27th, 2015 (Los Angeles): The new year is kicking into gear for Sheer Sports, with two of Sheer boxers readying themselves for scraps in the near future.
Everton Lopes, a Brazilian amateur standout, will be making his professional debut on Feb. 27, at the Fantasy Springs Casino, Indio, CA.
Put Lopes on your watch list, fight fans, because the 2008 and 2012 Olympian who wowed the crowd in winning gold at the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships is looking to move up the pro ranks swiftly. His amateur record of 240-10 attracted the eyes of Golden Boy Promotions and Sheer Management is enthused about the opening night for the 26-year-old: “He’s had an outstanding, well decorated amateur career and we fully believe he will have an equally outstanding professional career.”
Lopes, a left-hander who is accurate with both hands, promises to give fans their money’s worth on Feb. 27.
Also, the momentum being built by Irish hitter Jason Quigley can’t be denied. The 23-year-old super middleweight looks to rise to 4-0, when he scraps on March 6, at the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles. The fan-friendly banger will be showcased on Fox Sports 1, so expect him to attempt to keep his KO streak, at 3 for-3, alive and well.
Put Quigley on Google alert, to get notification on who he’ll be battling on March 6.
??”We are looking forward to kicking off the year with two of our outstanding talented fighters,” said Sheer management. “Lopes will have people talking about him in no time and Quigley continues on his winning path. Everything is going according to plan.”
