Salita Signs 20-0 Lightweight Bernardo
Brooklyn, NY (November 17, 2015)–His “Brooklyn Brawl” shows are gaining a reputation as a “United Nations” of pugilistic action, and promoter Dmitriy Salita is further cementing that perception with a splashy new signing.
Salita is exceedingly proud to announce that the Dominican Republic contender Eudy Bernardo is coming aboard his promotional vessel.
The 28-year-old righty sports a 20-0 (14 KOs) record, and has an extensive amateur foundation. Now training out of Houston, Texas, with the esteemed former champion Frank Tate, the lightweight Bernardo will soon be making heavy noise in the 135-pound class.
“Eudy is a big lightweight at 5’11”, with power in both hands,” said Salita. “He is considered by many to be the best Dominican prospect out there today. His skills, size and power give him the ability to be dominant in several weight classes. Indeed, he is a world-class prospect who is hungry to compete against the best fighters in his division. I have been hearing about his dominant skills for awhile and am very happy to be working with him!”
The hitter has 128 amateur fights under his belt, and turned pro in 2009; he became the lightweight champion of Dominican Republic in 2010, and has mostly fought in the DR. We can expect to see Bernardo doing his thing in America more, moving forward, and climbing up the ratings ladders.
Fans will see an aggressive sort, who has a typical lean “power hitter” frame, can mix it up from the outside or inside, and has a right hand that foes need to be very mindful of.
“Fans know we at Salita Promotions scour the world for talent and will continue to do so,” Salita said. “Our roster is expanding, and shortly, our next compelling show will be announced to the public. We intend to finish the year with a bang, and we thank our fans for supporting us!”
