Da Beats Meets Da Bomb On ShoBox
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (February 9, 2011) – It will be “Da Beast” going up against “Da Bomb” on Friday night during what all involved are convinced will be an action-packed and entertaining night of fights from Bally's Grand Ballroom in Atlantic City, N.J. as undefeated Cornelius “Da Beast” White (16-0, 15 KOs) takes on Don “Da Bomb” George (20-1-1, 17 KOs) in a 10-round super middleweight fight on ShoBox: The New Generation LIVE on SHOWTIME Friday night at 11 p.m. ET/PT (delayed on the West Coast).
White, 29, is a native of Houston, Texas, and has knocked out all but one opponent. Newly signed by Goossen Tutor and TNT Productions, White is trained by Bobby Benton in his Houston gym and sparring with ShoBox alum Marcus Johnson. White is looking to continue his knockout streak of 13 straight. The only time he didn't register a KO during his career is when he got the decision over Larry Pryor back in 2008 in just his third professional fight, while George is looking to comeback with a big-time KO on Showtime.
Promoted by Goossen Tutor Promotions and sponsored by Corona, tickets are priced at $75 and $50 may be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster retail outlets, Ticketmaster Call Center 800-745-3000 and Bally's Atlantic City (day of event).
