Deets On Oct. 2 LA FIGHT CLUB
STACKED LA FIGHT CLUB UNDERCARD SHOWCASES THE BEST RISING TALENT IN BOXING KICKING OFF AN ACTION-PACKED WEEKEND OF FIGHTS IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES

LOS ANGELES (September 29, 2015) Golden Boy Promotions will open an intense fight weekend beginning with LA FIGHT CLUB on Friday, October 2 live on Boxeo Estelar on Estrella TV at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT at the historic Belasco Theater. LA FIGHT CLUB, featuring the next generation of rising boxing stars, kicks off the first of back-to-back fight nights in downtown Los Angeles, followed by the highly-anticipated Lucas Matthysse vs. Viktor Postol card at the StubHub Center on Saturday, October 3. Fans with tickets to the event will be joined by confirmed guests Oscar De La Hoya, Chairman and CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, Future Hall of Famer and Golden Boy Promotions Partner Bernard Hopkins, current IBF Bantamweight World Champion Randy Caballero and legendary boxer Erik “El Terrible” Morales.
In the main event of the evening, Matthysse’s training partner Patrick Teixeira (25-0, 21 KOs) will collide with Don Mouton (13-9-1, 11 KOs) in an exhilarating 10-round middleweight bout. The televised co-main event of the night will feature Brooklyn, New York brawler Zachary “Zungry” Ochoa (12-0, 5 KOs) squaring off against Alejandro “Soma” Rodriguez (24-18-1, 14 KOs) of Guadalajara, Mexico in an eight-round super lightweight fight, both the toughest match of each fighters’ career. Opening up the LA FIGHT CLUB telecast, Tijuana, Mexico native Antonio “Tony” Gutierrez (18-1-1, 8 KOs) is scheduled for a six-round featherweight against Victor “Sina” Fonseca. (9-5-1, 7 KOs) of San Diego, Calif.
Featured on The Ring TV live stream, Francisco Ochoa (2-0, 1 KO) of Los Angeles, will face newcomer Edgar Galvez (0-1) of Phoenix, Arizona in a four-round lightweight bout, and Los Angeles favorite Pablo Rubio Jr. (2-0, 2 KOs) is scheduled for a four-round super bantamweight fight against Adrian Rodriguez (1-7-1) of Guadalajara, Mexico. Joshua Franco (1-0) will trade punches with Tijuana, Mexico’s Saul “Bebe” Hernandez (5-7-1, 3 KOs) in a four-round super flyweight matchup; and a four-round clash of super lightweights will kick off the night as Abraham Lopez (1-1) of Rowland Heights, Calif. will take on Galveston, Texas native Andrew Gomez (0-2). LA FIGHT CLUB: Teixeira vs. Mouton is a 10-round middleweight bout and is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and sponsored by Corona Extra. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the first bout begins at 5:30 p.m. The Estrella TV Boxeo Estelar broadcast will air live on Friday, October 2 at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT., and will also be simultaneously streaming live on estrellaTV.com and on YouTube via Fenomeno Studios: youtube.com/FenomenoStudios.
