TOMMY GUN RETURNS TO ACTION TOMORROW NIGHT AGAINST THE DANGEROUS SIERRA IN SOUTH AFRICA
New York, NY – (11/22/2011)– Tomorrow night the WBC #7 and IBF #12 rated super middleweight contender, Thomas “Tommy Gun” Oosthuizen (16-0-1, 11KO's), will look to defend his IBO Super Middleweight title and keep his unbeaten streak alive when he takes on dangerous Mexican knockout artist Francisco Sierra (24-2-1, 22KO's). The bout, scheduled for 12 rounds, and promoted by Rodney Berman's Golden Gloves Promotions, in association with DiBella Entertainment (DBE), will serve as the feature bout of the evening at Emperor's Palace in Gauteng, South Africa.
Oosthuizen last saw action on September 3, when the South African native, in his DBE debut, won a convincing 12-round unanimous decision over Aaron Pryor Jr. It was also Oosthuizen's first fight on U.S. soil. Lou DiBella, President and CEO of DiBella Entertainment, has plans to bring the highly touted contender back stateside in 2012 and will look to start matching him against the top names in the super middleweight division, but he must first get by the extremely dangerous Sierra.

Sierra is 4-1-1 in his last six bouts, with the biggest win during that time coming against the previously undefeated Donovan George (20-0-1, 17KO's) on ESPN's “Friday Night Fights”. The only blemishes during that period came against WBA and WBC #9 rated Dyah Davis (D 10) and, in his most recent outing, in a war on ESPN against IBF#10 and WBC #11 rated Jesus Gonzalez (L 12).
