K2 Promotions Busy and Successful
MOSCOW, RUSSIA (September 5, 2012) K2 Promotions’ week got off to a sensational start this past SATURDAY, SEPT. 1 as WBA/IBO Middleweight World Champion Gennady Golovkin became the talk of the boxing world storming to a fifth round stoppage of European Champion Grzegorz Proksa in his highly anticipated US and HBO debut.
This SATURDAY, SEPT. 8, WBC Heavyweight Champion Vitali Klitschko will defend his title against Manuel Charr at the Olimpiyskiy Sports Arena in Moscow, Russia which will also be broadcast on a tape delayed basis on HBO (9:45pm ET/6:45pm PT).
Also this Saturday, HBO will present the US broadcast premiere of KLITSCHKO, a revealing all-access look at Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko, the first brothers ever to unify the heavyweight titles.
Directed by International Emmy winner Sebastian Dehnhardt and spanning four decades, the Cold War, an Olympic gold medal, a nuclear disaster, a political campaign and seven world championship titles, the documentary details the two brothers’ rise to athletic supremacy when it debuts SATURDAY, SEPT. 8 (5:30-7:30 p.m. ET/PT).
Landing in Moscow following Golovkin’s huge win, Tom Loeffler, manager director of K2 Promotions spoke about working with HBO on both fights and the documentary.
