Demyanenko (21-0) Headlines Saturday
October 31, 2012 – Undefeated welterweight contender, Vitaliy Demyanenko (21-0, 12 KOs), will be showcased in the main event at the Emerald Casino in Tacoma, Washington this Saturday November 3rd, when he faces journeyman, Damian Frias (19-5-1, 10 KOs) in a 10-round bout. The event is promoted by Brian Halquist Productions in association with Boxing 360, who promotes Demyanenko.
Demyanenko looks to continue his march up the welterweight rankings and add another win to his undefeated record. With a possible TV fight looming for the Russian born standout, Vitaliy is looking to make a statement against Frias.
“Training camp is complete and I'm excited to be fighting in the main event this Saturday,” said Demyanenko. “I know Frais is coming to fight but there's nothing he can do that is going to surprise me. My trainer and I have studied his tapes and we've put together a masterful game plan to counter his attack. My goal in this fight is to get the knockout, but I'm prepared to go the distance if I have too.”
“Vitaliy is ready to go and I expect him to have a great performance against Frais,” stated Demyanenko's manager Steve Pochiro. “The ultimate goal is to position Demyanenko into the top ten of all sanctioning organizations by early next year.”
“Demyanenko is making a lot of noise right now in the welterweight division,” says Boxing 360 promoter Mario Yagobi. “His name is big in Russia where he was born and raised and he's been getting better with each fight. He's got a bright future as long as he keeps winning, which I anticipate him to do.”
