Slone will be ringside at the fight to complete his series of official paintings and will also be hosting an exhibit of his works at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on September 12-15th. “Having Richard T. Slone creating unique artwork for this fight is a thrill and an honor for us at Golden Boy Promotions,” said company CEO Richard Schaefer. “Mr. Slone is the new leader in sports art throughout the world, and having him involved with this mega event adds to an already historic night.” Slone has created two pre-fight paintings and will create his third after the actual where he will be doing sketches from ringside.

It gives me chills to think these paintings will be part of the great history of boxing, like important fight paintings by George Bellows and LeRoy Neiman” said Slone at the unveiling. “Both of these warriors will be giving it their all. It's going to be an all-time classic fight and I'll try to capture that in my paintings.”
Slone's pre-fight paintings of the unbeaten champions will adorn commemorative tickets and official fight posters. There will also be a special limited edition of only 75 museum quality fine art canvas prints.
