In the main event of a seven bout card, promoted by Dmity Salita’s Star of David Promotions, Jose Torres scored a first round stoppage over Miron Kadyrov in a scheduled six round cruiserweight bout.
The highlight of the night was a highlight reel knockout by Peter Reyes as he put Juan Zapata to sleep with a booming right hand in the second round of their four round middleweight bout.
Ironically, Reyes had to get off the deck as he was sent down just minutes before he unleashed a perfect right hand that sent Zapata out cold. He was down for several minutes and needed the help of the paramedics before he was able to sit upright on the stool.
In the co-feature, Tresean Wiggins was impressive in dropping Marcus Hall four times in under two rounds in their scheduled six round welterweight bout.
Also, prized amateur Marcos Suarez took an ambitious step in his pro debut by taking on 15 fight veteran Jermell Tyson in a four round lightweight bout.
Suarez showed terrific hand speed and that helped propel him to the unanimous decision victory.
Other winners included Anthony Barnes, Mikkel Lespierre, and Jovan Sosa.
“This was a great night of boxing”, said promoter and current welterweight contender Dmitry Salita.
“These are the types of fight nights we are building here. We saw great competitive fights that were entertaining, we also saw an some incredible knockouts with the Reyes knockout being a Knockout of the Year candidate as well as great neighborhood fights.”
