Watch Iron Boy Card Stream Saturday Night
Weigh-ins for Iron Boy 9 are set for 2pm PST today at Mariscos Vuelva A La Vida at 1602 E. Roosevelt in Phoenix. You can watch the weigh-in live at www.iron-boy.com.
In the main event on Saturday night, the valley’s Alexis Santiago (14-3-1, 6KO) faces Mexico’s Alex Rangel (15-1-2, 9KO) for the WBC USNBC Bantamweight title. It will be a tough fight for both fighters, but Santiago feels he’s ready. “Camp has been great. The hard work has been put in and on September 21st, it’s time to finish my job and keep that title at home. “
The entire card will be live streamed on Iron Boy Promotions’ webpage. Exciting and hard-punching prospect Francisco “Panchito” C. de Vaca (2-0, 2KO) will facethe more experienced Manuel Galviz (7-11, 4KO). De Vaca’s performance on July’s Iron Boy 8 live stream was widely considered the most exciting bout, after ending in a sensational second round knockout.
Also on the live-streamed portion of the card, exciting valley prospect Carlos “The Chosen One” Castro (4-0, 1KO) looks to continue his unbeaten streak. Castro recently joined Iron Boy Promotions stablemate De Vaca in training with Roberto Alcazar, who was at one time Oscar De La Hoya’s trainer.
SMS Promotions fighter Luis Olivares (4-0, 3KO) has made a splash in the boxing world as one of the first fighters to be signed by rapper-turned-boxing promoter Curtis Jackson, aka 50 Cent. The Phoenix fighter’s fans across the world will be able to see his fight live.
Iron Boy 9 features several other up and coming Phoenix favorites, including the ever-exciting Chris Lopez, Jose Marrufo, Victor Castro and Abel Ramos.
Said Iron Boy Promotions president, Roberto Vargas about the event, “I’m excited that fans across the country…around the world, who have followed these fighters from afar can now see their bouts live. We continue to be committed to putting on a quality show for the fans in attendance and those watching online.”
Pre-fight and post-fight events will be held at Mariscos Vuelve la Vida at 1602 E. Roosevelt in Phoenix. The press conference is Monday, September 16th at 5 p.m., and is open to the public.
The show will be streamed on Iron Boy Promotions’ website, www.iron-boy.com, and the cost will be $4.99. Tickets for the event may be purchased at www.iron-boy.com or at the Celebrity Theatre box office for $25, $35 and ringside tickets for only $45. Doors open at 5 p.m. on September 21st, and fights start at 6 p.m.
