News On: Maddalone, David Price, Chase Corbin
Las Vegas– Undefeated welterweight Chase “Checkmate” Corbin, (8-0) has signed a multi year management contract with veteran boxing manager Cameron Dunkin.“I’ve known who Chase is for a while,” Dunkin said. “He’s a big welterweight, he’s entertaining and can fight. I’m looking forward to getting him some good matches, and getting him back in action.” “Cameron is one of the best managers there is,” Corbin said. “and I’m ready to get bigger and better fights, and make the most of this opportunity.”
Dunkin signing Chase Corbin is a positive move for the undefeated welter, who has two knockout wins this last summer, and spent time in training camp sparring with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. prior to his match with Brian Vera. “Chase will be training at the Top Rank gym, and we plan to fight in January, and stay busy in 2014. ” Dunkin said. “He’s ready to get back in the ring, and keep the wins coming.”

BRONX, NY (November 15, 2013) Long Island fan favorite, heavyweight Vinny Maddalone heads back to the ring against Houston’s Maurenzo Smith on Friday, NOVEMBER 22 headlining Star Boxing’s “Rockin Fights 11” at The Paramount in Huntington, Long Island.
Maddalone, 37-8-0 (28KO’s), is coming off a pair of third round knockouts, over then undefeated Richard Carmack on MAY 11 at The Paramount and on DECEMBER 8, 2012 over Byron Polley in Queens.
“No sense in wasting any time, I’m always looking to get them out of there early,” said the affable Maddalone. “But I’ve watched some tape on Smith, he’s a pretty big guy, in good shape, looks like he works off the jab very well.”
“Ideally, I beat this guy and get a shot at one of the top ten heavyweights next, that’s really what I’m looking towards.”
The hard-hitting Smith, 12-7-2 (9KO’s), is coming off his career best performance, a second round stoppage of Ty Cobb on OCTOBER 5 in Lawton, Oklahoma.
“Smith had a terrific outing against Cobb and is full of confidence coming into this fight. But Vinny is very focused, he’s ready to keep the train rolling” said Joe DeGuardia, President of Star Boxing®.
“Vinny always been extremely popular, particularly in New York, and his fans are very excited to see him back at The Paramount.”
