UPDATE: ESPN’s Saturday Night Fights Ratings Info

Here is some info ESPN sent out on Tuesday afternoon, regarding the ratings their Saturday primetime boxing show did:

ESPN’s live telecast of the Saturday, May 10, (WBC) World Heavyweight Championship fight between Bermane Stiverne and Chris Arreola delivered a 0.7 HH US rating averaging 940,000 viewers (P2+).

* Saturday’s fight was the highest-rated and most-viewed live boxing telecast on the ESPN network since July 10, 1998, a 0.8 HH US rating, 961,000 viewers. The ESPN network has aired 255 live boxing telecasts to date since January 1, 1990.

* In addition, it was the highest-rated boxing event on ESPN and ESPN2 since 2006. (Sultan Ibragimov vs. Ray Austin delivered 0.8 HH US rating on July 28, 2006, on ESPN2).

ESPN’s live telecast of the Saturday, May 10, World Boxing Council (WBC) World Heavyweight Championship fight between Bermane “B. Ware” Stiverne (24-1-1, 21 KOs) and Chris “The Nightmare” Arreola (36-4, 31 KOs) delivered a 0.8 overnight rating according to Nielsen, making it the highest-rated fight on any ESPN network since 2003 (Monte Barrett vs. Eric Kirkland delivered a 1.3 overnight rating on October 3, 2003, on ESPN2). Stiverne defeated Arreola by TKO in the sixth round, making him the first boxer of Haitian descent to win a Heavyweight title.

Saturday’s fight is also tied for the third-highest-rated fight overall on any ESPN network (based on overnights, records date back to 2001).
