Glen Tapia Fights Donatas Bondorovas Oct. 4 in AC
‘JERSEY BOY’ GLEN TAPIA BACK IN ACTION AT BALLY’S PARK PLACE
JESSE HART OF PHILADELPHIA LOOKING TO STAY UNDEFEATED ON TOP RANK’S BIG FIGHT CARD SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4
Atlantic City, NJ – The Jersey Boy, super welterweight contender Glen Tapia of Passiac, N.J., returns to the ring at Bally’s Park Place on Saturday, October 4.
Tapia, 21-1 with 13 knockouts, will take on Donatas Bondorvas, 18-5-1, 6 KOs, of Lithuania in the 10 round main event.
Tapia, 24, is coming off a powerful performance here at Bally’s, blasting out Keenan Collin in one round several months ago.
“I want to entertain. This is what I live for, I love boxing. I like being inside the ring more than anything,” Tapia said.
Tapia is handled by Pat Lynch, the longtime manager of former superstar champion Arturo Gatti of New Jersey.
The big Top Rank boxing card will include super middleweight contender Jesse ‘Hard Work’ Hart of Philadelphia. Hart, 14-0 with 11 knockouts, will take on Robert Acevedo, 8-2, 5 KOs, of Bayamon, Puerto Rico. The bout is scheduled for eight rounds.
Jesse will have his father – the famous Philadelphia champion Eugene ‘Cyclone’ Hart – in his corner on fight night. Jesse, 25, is a sensational prospect at 168 pounds. He is a former amateur star, a gold medalist at the 2011 U.S. National Championships and the National Golden Gloves Championships.
Also on the card:
Mikael Zewski, a hard-punching 24-0, 19 KOs welterweight from Trois-Riveres, Canada.
Michael Reed, a 10-0, 6 KO super lightweight from Maryland.
Toka Kahn Clary, a superstar amateur now 12-0-1 as a pro super featherweight from Providence, Rhode Island.

Doors open 6:30 pm and the bouts will begin 7 pm local time.
