A 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist for the Dominican Republic, Diaz has thrilled fans and media with his world-class skills since turning professional in 2009. In his last start, the southpaw defeated fellow promising prospect Emmanuel Lartey in an eight round decision on April 18th in Monroeville, Pennsylvania.
The 25-year-old all-action Granados, a member of the 2008 Mexican Olympic Team and a disciple of brothers’ Juan Manual Marquez and Rafael Marquez, will be looking to kick-start his career making his first start of 2014.
Co-featured is a 10-round featherweight WBC FECARBOX Featherweight Title bout between fast rising Dominican contender and former world title challenger CLAUDIO MARRERO, 16-1-0 (12KO’s) and JUAN ANTONIO “Zurdo” RODRIGUEZ, 26-5-0 (23KO’s) of Puebla, Mexico.
The 25-year-old Marrero is riding a two-bout winning streak in 2014 since challenging Jesus Cuellar on August 23, 2013 for the WBA “Interim” Featherweight World Title.
In a very hard fought 12-round war, Marrero came up just short on the judge’s scorecards in the nationally televised war.
Rodriguez will be making the third start of his 2014 campaign, most recently facing undefeated and world ranked contender Javier Fortuna on May 31st in the main event of a card telecast on HBO from Las Vegas.
Despite losing the 10-round decision, the 26-year-old Rodriguez stamped himself as one of the best featherweights in the world with his skilled performance.
In a special attraction eight round battle, 2012 Ukrainian Olympian IEVGEN “The Lion” KHYTROV, 6-0-0 (6KO’s), now fighting out of Brooklyn, New York, will face off against LOUIS ROSE, 11-1-1 (3KO’s), of Lynwood, California.
With his stunning knockouts in each of his first six bouts, the 26-year-old Khytrov has thrilled fans across the country as he quickly climbs in the ranks of boxing’s glamour division.
Fighting in front of a huge crowd in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a nationally televised audience on August 8th, Khytrov brutally dismantled Detroit based veteran Willie Fortune with a stunning first round stoppage.
The 25-year-old upset minded Rose, will look to stay undefeated in 2014 having won all three of his starts. On August 23rd, Rose scored a 10-round round unanimous decision over Dashon Johnson in Tacoma, Washington.
Topping the undercard, local fan favorite and undefeated heavyweight prospect WES “Cherokee Warrior” NOFIRE will clash with TY “The Tyger” COBB of Wichita Falls, Texas, in the main event on November 21.
Compiling a record of 15-0-0 (11KO’s), the hard-hitting, 28-year-old, Nofire of nearby Tahlequah, Oklahoma, has quickly become one of the hottest prospects in the heavyweight division. Now training in Miami, Florida, Nofire looks to close out his 2014 campaign in style.
On September 26th, Nofire impressed the Dallas, Texas fight fans with a six-round unanimous decision over veteran Earl Ladson.
Cobb, 18-5-0 (10KO’s), is looking to derail the Nofire train, having won both his starts in 2014, most recently defeating Richard Dawson on August 23rd in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
