EOTTM AND GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS PRESENT A NIGHT OF CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHTS ON JUNE 20

Montreal, June 9, 2015 – Eye of the Tiger Management (EOTTM), Golden Boy Promotions in association with King Sports Worldwide and Vidéotron in collaboration with evenko present a summer championship match-up featuring Montreal’s David Lemieux (33-2, 31 KOs) facing off against number one contender Hassan N’Dam (31-1, 18 KOs.) for the IBF Middleweight World Championship on June 20. The exciting night will also feature Quebec fighters in three additional championship matches, live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

NABF Lightweight Championship

Dierry Jean (28-1, 20 KOs) vs. Jerry Belmontes (19-6, 5 KOs)

Recognized by many Quebec specialists as one of the most talented boxer of Canada, Dierry Jean will make his return on stage at the Bell Centre to defend his NABF belt against the American Jerry Belmontes . Although the latter has had a difficult year, Belmontes is considered a fighter with a lot of potential in the lightweight division. It has also not phased him following his recent defeats against the most formidable and experienced boxers currently in the 135 lb division, Omar Figeroa Jr. , Francisco Vargas and Miguel Vasquez.

WBC Francophone Championship

Schiller Hyppolite (15-1, 10 KOs) vs. Kevin Thomas Cojean (16-6-1 , 5 KO’s)

Currently ranked 10th by the WBC Quebec-Haitian, Schiller Hyppolite has the opportunity to get his hands on a new belt, the WBC Francophone Championship. A fine performance against the French Kevin Thomas Cojean could allow him to earn a spot in the top five of his division. A challenge awaits the protégé of EOTTM, on June 20th at the Bell Centre!

NABF Youth Championship

Steven Butler (12-0, 10 KOs) vs. Jaime Herrera (12-3, 7 KOs)

The youngest recruit of the EOTTM family, Steven Butler, has collected many honors in his professional debut. Indeed, the 19 year old who now has an impressive record of 12 wins, including 10 KOs, has all the qualities to become the next star of boxing. An explosive fight, Butler is a devastating force that always gives a good show in front of his supporters. Butler crosses a significant step in his career on June 20 when he will fight for the first belt of his career.

Mian Hussain (11-0 , 6 KOs) vs. Ivan Pereyra (19-4 , 13 KOs)

Greatly respected in the world of Olympic boxing in Quebec, Mian Hussain and his two brothers have managed a feat that only the Hilton brothers had succeeded, becoming Golden Gloves champions at the same time in their respective divisions. Bronze medalist at the Pan American Games in 2011, Mian Hussain is certainly one of the best counter punchers in Quebec combining both speed and power. SuperMian is set to face Mexico’s Ivan Pereyra in the welterweight division.

Ghislain Maduma (16-1, 10 KOs) vs. Michele Focosi (20-3-2, 8 KOs )

Returning to the ring after more than a year of absence due to injury, Ghislain Maduma will enter the ring on June 20 for the first time since his heart-breaking defeat against Kevin Mitchell in England. This is therefore a welcome return for the Quebecor who will face Michele Focosi in an eight round bout at 142 lbs.

The other preliminary bouts will also feature the return of American undefeated heavyweight Luis “King Kong” Ortiz (21-0, 18 KOs) in the eight-round bout, Quebec’s Yves Ulysse (6-0 , 4 KOs), Ayaz Hussain (5- 0, 3 KOs) and Mathieu Germain (1-0), opponents will be announced shortly.

The broadcast of a large-scale gala will offer the boxers significant visibility to a wide audience. Indeed, fans can appreciate the talent watching the first 3 duels of the evening live on TVA Sports, free of charge. The entire event will be available on PPV via Indigo and Bell TV for only $54.99 or $59.99 in high definition. Fox Sports 2 and Fox Deportes will air the IBF Middleweight Championship fight in the U.S. live starting at 10:00 p.m. ET. / 7:00 p.m. PT.
