A Card Featuring Thurman-Porter, Broner-Allahkverdiev In the Works?
That rumor mill, they are working over-time over there right now.
My guys Mr X–wait, maybe it’s Mrs. X (*winks*) tells me he thinks Oct. 3 will be a doozy, and we will get Keith Thurman versus Shawn Porter in a young gun welterweight eliminator, with the winner in a position, with an A grade outing, to pester Floyd for a shot at next; also, on the same card, which would likely unfold in Vegas, we’d see Adrien Broner seeking to restore some luster against busy banger Khabib Allahkverdiev. (Boxrec says that one is a lock, site TBD, but Boxrec is a work in progress, as we all know.)
X thinks that’s the crack but another smart source, with more of an eye toward what makes in a bigger picture, thinks we could yes, see Thurman versus Porter, but at the end of October. On NBC, after the Breeder’s Cup runs, Saturday, Oct. 31st, would make for a no-brainer mashup, this smartie said.
We’ve heard PBC will be ramping up with a more prime vs. prime scraps…good news for the discriminating fight fan, that would be..
Makes sense to me, gang…What say youse…About these matchups, and proper placement on platform…play pundit, and programmer while you’re at it!
