GBP on Estrella TV Jan 29 – The Return of the L.A. Fight Club

Estrella TV Jan 29 – Oscar De La Hoya and his Golden Boy Promotions are at the Belasco Theater this Friday night with the first “L.A. Fight Club” event of 2016.
The main event sees undefeated 22-year-old featherweight Julian Ramirez (15-0) take on veteran Christopher Martin (28-6-3) for the vacant WBC Youth Silver Featherweight title. Ramirez, who characterizes himself as a “Brawler who can change it up”, is familiar with Martin as a sparring partner, and feels he knows what to expect. Nicknamed “El Camaron”, Ramirez is being carefully groomed by GBP for bigger things, and being from East Los Angeles, Ramirez figures to have a lot of crowd support as well.
The 10 round co-main event sees Abraham “Chamaco” Lopez, who is 19-0-1 competing in the featherweight division. His opponent, Carlos Valcarcel, is a veteran who has gone 2-0 since taking three years off from the sport.
Golden Boy uses the “L.A. Fight Club” series to help nurture young talent. The rest of the card consists of four and six round bouts, as well as a handful of prospects with undefeated records and under five professional fights.
If you are anywhere near the Belasco Theater this Friday night, live fights are clearly the waty to go! If not, the fight card is set to air on EstrellaTV starting at 10PM Eastern Time. GBP also makes the fight available via live stream, and the feeds usually come in Spanish and English. The current card as it is set today is listed below.
