Boxing Odds From This Weekend’s Euro Calendar

Perhaps the most worthwhile match on this weekend’s European calendar comes on Saturday in Germany as heavyweights Andriy Rudenko and Agit Kabayel clash in a 12-round bout with a European title on the line. Rudenko is 32-3 overall with his losses coming to Australia’s Lucas Browne, England’s Hughie Fury and Russia’s Alexander Povetkin. Kabayel (pictured) is going to enter the fight as a prohibitive favorite, and at 26 years old he is the prospect here. Beating Rudenko is Kabayel’s next step as he hopes to do better than recent prospect Erkan Teper, who has gone 3-3 after getting labeled as a fighter to watch back in 2015 after back to back wins over David Price and Johann Duhaupas.

Friday night sees a pair of boxing lines pop up from Poland as the country’s super featherweight title is on the line between Piotr Gudel (9-2-1) and Viktor Kotochigov (7-0) and eight round cruiserweight action sees undefeated Michal Cieslak (17-0) take on Congolese fighter Youri Kayembre Kalenga (24-5). Though these are not international names, the Polish fans do fervently back their fighters and there have been a slew of fighters from Poland impacting the world level at light heavyweight and cruiserweight, so Cieslak may warrant a look.
