Boxing Odds – Mayweather Jr vs. Maidana Rematch for WBC Welterweight Title September 13!
“Every dog has his day” so goes the old saying but when it comes to “Pretty Boy” Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr his “day” is yet to arrive as he remains undefeated for his professional career and has his own private home ring at the MGM Grand Garden Arena where he fights once or twice per year and hauls is millions as the man that many label as the best pound for pound boxer in history. On September 13 Floyd Mayweather will face Marcos Rene “El Chino” Maidana in a rematch from May 3, 2014 in which Mayweather scored a 12 round MD win. The rematch is a unification bout for the WBC welterweight, WBA super world welterweight, and WBC light middleweight titles at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather opened as a -800 favorite with the Boxing odds while Maidana was a +500 dog.

The 37 year old Floyd Mayweather Jr stands at five feet eight inches tall with a reach of 72 inches and fights from an orthodox stance. Mayweather is a native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA but now resides in Las Vegas. Mayweather has a career record of 46 wins with no losses and no draws and has 26 career knockout wins for his career. Mayweather is the top ranked welterweight both in the United States and the world. Prior to defeating Maidana earlier this year “Pretty Boy” scored a win over Saul Alvarez on September 14, 2013 in another 12 round MD at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Marcos Rene Maidana
The 31 year old Marcos Rene Maidana stands at five feet seven inches tall with a reach of 69 inches and fights from an orthodox stance. Maidana hails from Argentina and resides in Buenos Aires. Maidana has a career record of 35 wins, four losses, and 0 draws with 31 out of his 35 wins coming by knockout. Maidana has never suffered a knockout loss. “El Chino” is the top ranked welterweight in Argentina and is ranked fourth in the world. Prior to his loss to Mayweather Maidana defeated Adrien Broner in a 12 round unanimous decision on December 14, 2013 for the WBA world welterweight title at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, USA.
