Boxing Odds – Timothy Bradley a Proven Champ
Timothy Bradley has already defeated Manny Pacquiao for the WBO welterweight title 2 years ago and as fate would have it Pacquiao has fought his way back for an opportunity at a rematch. Bradley is the reigning champion and will be a dangerous underdog for this highly anticipated bout. In a rematch of their WBO welterweight title bout that took place on June 9, 2012 Manny Pacquiao will face Timothy Bradley for the WBO welterweight title at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 12 in a bout that is scheduled for 12 rounds. Pacquiao opened as a -230 favorite with the Boxing odds as Bradley was a +185 underdog as the bout had an over under of 9.5 rounds with the over 9.5 rounds at -355 and the under 9.5 rounds at +275.
A Champion’s Record
The 30 year old Timothy Bradley has a career record of 31 bouts with 31 wins and 12 knockouts with four career professional championships starting with the WBC light welterweight title that he held from May 2008 through April 2009 before he was stripped of the title because of his refusal to fight Devon Alexander who was the mandatory challenger at that time. He was WBO light welterweight champion from April 2009 through June 2012 when the title was vacated. He then defeated Pacquiao for the WBO welterweight championship which he has held since June of 2012. A native of Cathedral City, CA Bradley now resides in Palm Springs, CA. Bradley is well known for his strict training standards and self-demands as he is on a strict vegan diet when preparing for a fight.
Bradley is trained by Joel Diaz who is world renowned as one of the top trainers in the fight game. Diaz was a well-known fighter in his own right as he lost an IBF lightweight championship bout to Phillip Holiday in a 12 round decision but he had to retire due to a damaged retina and has since taken up training.
Bradley’s win over Pacquiao was a highly controversial split decision which he realizes can only be validated with a decisive win in this upcoming bout.
