He is the top ranked German middleweight and is ranked 2nd in the world. Sturm has a career record of 39 wins, 3 losses, and 2 draws. Out of his 39 wins 18 have come by knockout while just 1 out of his 3 losses came by knockout. Sturm is coming off a technical knockout win over Darren Barker in the 2nd round of a scheduled 12 round bout that took place on December 7, 2013 in a match that was for the IBF middleweight title. Prior to that he scored a TKO win over Predrag Radosevic in the 4th round of a scheduled 12 round bout that took place on July 6, 2013.
