Counting Down To Donaire-Darchinyan
September 17, 2013, Corpus Christi, Texas — “Donaire and Darchinyan hit Corpus Christi” — (L-R) 2012 Fighter of the Year and former world champion Nonito “Filipino Flash” Donaire and former two-division world champion Vic “Raging Bull” Darchinyan arrived in Corpus Christi, Texas for a press conference this Wednesday at the American Bank Center to announce their upcoming grudge rematch as part of an exciting world championship tripleheader on Saturday, November 9. Joining them will be Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum and former two-time heavyweight champion George Foreman.
Promoted by Top Rank®, in association with Foreman Boys Promotions, PR Best Boxing, Arthur Pelullo’s Banner Promotions, Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing and Tecate, this world championship tripleheader will also feature undefeated former WBO featherweight champion Mikey Garcia and two-time WBO junior lightweight champion Roman “Rocky” Martinez , plus a clash of undefeated former U.S. Olympians — Vanes “The Nightmare” Martirosyan and Demetrius “Boo Boo” Andrade.
