SHAWN PORTER TO FILL IN FOR
ANTONIO TARVER AS COLOR ANALYST FOR
PREMIER BOXING CHAMPIONS ON SPIKE EVENT ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 14
New York, NY, August 5, 2015 – “Showtime” Shawn Porter is back on Spike – but this time in the broadcast booth. The welterweight contender helped launch Premier Boxing Champions on Spike in March with a commanding 5th round knockout over Eric Bone.
On Friday, August 14 at 9:00pm ET/PT, Porter will serve as a guest color analyst, sitting in for Antonio “The Magic Man” Tarver (31-6, 22 KO’s), who is headlining the PBC on Spike event in a 12-round heavyweight bout against Steve “USS” Cunningham (28-7, 13 KO’s) LIVE on Spike.
Emanating from the Prudential Center, in Newark, New Jersey, the co-feature will include Marco “Captain” Huck (38-2-1, 26 KOs) defending his cruiserweight title against undefeated Polish contender Krzyzstof Glowacki (24-0, 15 KOs).
Porter, who is coming off of a dominating unanimous decision against Adrien Broner in June, will join the Spike announce team of Scott Hanson, Jimmy Smith, and host, Dana Jacobson. This marks Porter’s first-ever nationally-televised announcing appearance.
