Maurice Harris Enters Prizefighter Tourney
BETFAIR PRIZEFIGHTER
INTERNATIONAL HEAVYWEIGHTS II
June 19, 2012 – Televised live on Sky Sports this Wednesday, June 20, 2012, American heavyweight contender Maurice “Sugar Moe” Harris (25-16-2, 11 KOs) and Poland's, Albert Sosnowski (46-4-2, 28 KOs), will face each other in the Quarter-final bout 1 of the 8-man Betfair Prizefighter International Heavyweights II tournament, taking place at York Hall, Bethnal Green, London.
Harris looks to rebound from a controversial loss he suffered last month when he traveled to Germany, and challenge undefeated power puncher, Edmund Gerber (20-0, 13 KOs). Fully confident in his ability to outbox Sosnowski, Maurice is ready to show the European fans why he deserves to be the favorite in this tournament.
“I've won a major tournament early in my career,” said Harris. “I have the boxing skills to outclass each fighter in this event. I'm certain the judges will be fair in this fight as it will be televised for the world to see.My goal is to win this tournament, get back into the top ten of the IBF, and shoot for that title shot. I've been in London for the last week and I'll be ready to shine on fight night.”
“I know Maurice is ready to win this whole thing,” said Boxing 360 promoter Mario Yagobi. “Being that he just fought last month, I know he's in great shape. I expect him to shine in this tournament and bring home the prize.”
Tickets for the Betfair Prizefighter International Heavyweights at York Hall, Bethnal Green are on sale and now priced at $40 (unreserved). Tickets are available from Matchroom Sport on 01277 359900 and at online at www.matchroomboxing.com.
