International Brotherhood of Prizefighters Rankings: Week of July 24, 2023

Naoya Inoue’s astonishing performance in Japan rockets him to #1 at 122lbs with Stephen Fulton dropping to #3 – John Riel Casimero makes way. Robeisy Ramirez also did damage on the undercard against Satoshi Shimizu. Ramirez (pictured) rises to #6 at 126lbs. Last Wednesday, also in Japan, Taku Kuwahara was impressive in smashing out Wulan Tuolehazi in four; he debuts at #10 at 112lbs. Veteran Cristofer Rosales drops out.

Finally, there is the mess at the bottom of the 135lb division made worse by the disastrous judging for this weekend’s Maxi Hughes-George Kambosos alphabet title fight. Kambosos was the judge’s choice, a decision almost beyond explanation, but in truth, neither man was impressive. For the purpose of our rankings, uncluttered by bad judging, Hughes is ranked at #8 ahead of Kambosos at #9.  Keyshawn Davis defeated former European champion Francesco Patera on the undercard so he holds onto the #10 spot and Raymond Muratalla drops out.
