Erickson Lubin Headlines Sunday Jan 31 PBC on Bounce TV

Erickson Lubin Headlines – Former National Golden Gloves champion Erickson Lubin (13-0, 10 KOs) meets Jose Macias (18-4-2, 9 KOs) on Sunday, Jan. 31st. The 10 round super welterweight contest is the featured attraction of a 10-bout card at the Seminole Casino in Immokalee, Florida.
The 20-year-old Lubin, a 5’11” southpaw from Orlando, is a blue chip prospect. He would have been one of the favorites to represent the United States in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil had he remained in the amateur ranks. His opponent last fought in October of last year, losing a split decision in a 10 round contest with Alejandro Barrera (currently 28-3) in Mexico City. Macias went 2-1-1 in four bouts during 2015.
In the main supporting bout, Alex De Jesus (21-1, 13 KOs) meets Joseph Elegele (14-2, 10 KOs) in a welterweight contest slated for eight rounds.
DeJesus represented Puerto Rico in the 2004 Olympic Games. His style has been likened to that of Pernell Whitaker. De Jesus was inactive from 2010 through 2014 while serving a prison term on a domestic abuse charge, but the talented 32 year old is still hoping for another run. Elegele, a native of Florida, is making his return to the ring after a layoff of fifteen months.
Others appearing on the card include undefeated welterweight David Grayton (13-0, 9 KOs) and undefeated lightweight Ray Lampkin (8-0, 2 KOs). Lampkin, who fights out of Portland, Oregon, is the son of the former NABF lightweight champion of the same name. The elder Lampkin fought Roberto Duran for the world lightweight title in Panama City in 1975, losing by TKO in the 14th round.
Televised coverage of the Lubin and De Jesus fights begins at 9 PM ET on the Bounce Network as the latest broadcast from the Premier Boxing Champions. The complete live event features 10 fights in all and is promoted by Marshall Kauffman.
On February 9th the Preemier Boxing Champions returns to Fox Sports 1 with their “Toe to Toe Tuesdays” series, headlined by Lightweights Jamel Herring (14-0) and Luis Eduardo Flores (21-2).
