Matthysse is coming off a knockout win over John Molina in the 11th round of a scheduled 12 round bout that took place on April 26, 2014 at the Stub Hub Center in Carson, CA, USA. The win followed his unanimous decision loss to Danny Garcia for the WBA super world light welterweight and WBC light welterweight titles.
