New York, N.Y., Jan. 11, 2011 – On the upcoming installment of the HBO Sports digital series Ring Life, two of the world’s premier fighters — both of whom possess a perfect record and are slated to meet in a highly anticipated showdown on HBO’s World Championship Boxing® on Jan. 29 — will be featured in separate profiles: Ring Life presents the compelling backstories of undefeated junior welterweights Devon Alexander and Timothy Bradley on all the digital media platforms that distribute the series.
Alexander, from St. Louis, MO, and Bradley out of Palm Springs, CA, both of whom hold titles in the ultra-competitive 140-pound division. These two rising American stars will be facing off in a unification showdown in the Pontiac Silverdome on Jan. 29.
Intimate, honest and compelling, Ring Life, narrated by Jim Lampley, the accomplished host for HBO’s World Championship Boxing, chronicles the lives of up-and-coming and inspirational fighters as they define the spirit of boxing; balancing jobs, family life, training, expectations and the pursuit of their dreams. Front and center in these fighters’ lives, Ring Life presents a chapter on each fighter that delves inside their hearts and minds to discover what drives them in the ring and beyond, in the ultra competitive sport of professional boxing.
Starting Jan. 11, Ring Life is available across HBO Digital Media platforms including HBO.com www.hbo.com/boxing. Ring Life is also be available on HBO’s YouTube Channel, iPad and iPhone applications, and as free podcasts via Apple’s iTunes Music Store. Additionally it can been seen at www.myspace.com/hbo and www.dailymotion.com/hbo. Then on Jan. 17, Ring Life will be offered on HBO On Demand to subscribers 24 hours a day well as on affiliate Free on Demand services and affiliate on-line platforms.

The series received a 2010 Sports Emmy® nomination for “Outstanding New Approaches Sports Programming – Short Format,” and was also nominated for a Sports Emmy in 2009 for “Outstanding New Approaches Sports Programming.”
Devon Alexander and Timothy Bradley are scheduled to fight on the Jan. 29th season premiere of HBO’s World Championship Boxing series from Pontiac, MI (10:00 p.m. ET/ 7:00 p.m. PT).
