The middleweight championship battle will be broadcast live by HBO Pay-Per-View, allowing fans across the U.S. to cheer for their favorite boxer.
To make the fight as accessible as possible, Tecate is offering qualifying adults 21-and-older up to $50 back by mail with the purchase of the HBO PPV event and Tecate or Tecate Light product (where legal). “Mexican Independence Day is an occasion to celebrate the character and determination of our consumers, as well as that of fighters like Chavez Jr., and Martinez who give it their all in the ring,” said Felix Palau, vice president of marketing for Tecate. “We invite adult fans over 21 across the U.S. to be part of this celebration through our special offers and events designed specifically around this fight.”
To build excitement leading up to the Top Rank card, Tecate has been hosting a series of events in key cities alongside renowned Liberman Broadcasting personality Don Cheto. At each activation, fans 21 and older can meet and get autographs signed by celebrity boxers like Shane Mosley, Fernando Vargas, Brandon Rios and Israel Vazquez. Additionally, thousands of thematic posters, price cards, and instant rebates on viewing party essentials have helped build anticipation for the fight at retail stores across the U.S. (where legal).
During fight week, Tecate will continue to ensure that fans in Las Vegas have a boxing experience full of carácter by providing them with opportunities to win tickets to the Chavez Jr. vs. Martinez card, and pose for pictures with the Chicas Tecate brand ambassadors as they hold an original “Cinturón Tecate” (Tecate Belt).
