Michael Katsidis Gets Stopped in England
Tommy Coyle beat Michael Katsidis on Saturday in Yorkshire, flattening the Aussie with a left hook in round two, and perhaps sending the ex interim lightweight title-holder into retirement mode.
Time of the ending was 1:33 of the first.

The Brit Coyle (age 25) goes to 20-2, while the 34-year-old Katsidis is 30-7. Coyle wins the IBF international lightweight crown.
The old-style come-forward Katsidis was in there to bang but paid for it. As he came at the Brit, his aggression was used against him. A left hook delivered while in retreat, a wide one, landed on his chin, and he was dumped on his back. He rose, at six, but the ref didn’t like the looks of him–he was looking like a Weeble–and waved off the tussle.
Of Katsidis’ losses, three have come via stoppage. He took to Twitter to say, “England has made me feel feel at home and has supported me even in defeat. You are all amazing people. Thank you.”
