Khan To Throw First Pitch At Dodgers Game
SUNDAY IS VIVA LOS DODGERS DAY PRESENTED BY STATE FARM, CHEVROLET AND TIME WARNER CABLE
Sold out game's pre-game festival includes live performances from critically acclaimed Latin acts Ximena Sariñana and Alex Anwandter and an autograph session with former Unified Super Lightweight World Champion boxer Amir “King” Khan
WHAT:
Viva Los Dodgers Day, presented by State Farm, Chevrolet and Time Warner Cable, is tomorrow prior to the 5:00 p.m. game against the Mets. The family-friendly festival starts at 3:00 p.m. and features live performances by critically acclaimed Mexican singer-songwriter and Latin Grammy nominee Ximena Sariñana and Chilean pop sensation Alex Anwandter. KCRW DJ Raul Campos will emcee.
British boxing superstar, 2004 Olympics Silver Medalist and Former Unified Super Lightweight Champion of the World Amir “King” Khan will sign autographs for fans at Viva Los Dodgers starting at 3:30 p.m. Khan will take on unbeaten WBC Super Lightweight World Champion Danny “Swift” Garcia Saturday, July 14 at Mandalay Bay Resort Casino in Las Vegas for Garcia's World Title. Following his appearance, Khan will also throw the first pitch. Dodger alumnus Tim Leary will sign autographs for fans from 3:10 p.m-4:30 p.m.
Japan Night presented by Japan Tourism Agency (JTA) is also Sunday. As part of this partnership, Sanrio's Hello Kitty® and Keroppi® will take photos with fans at Viva Los Dodgers Day and fans with the first 50,000 tickets will receive a Hello Kitty Mini Bobblehead and Hello Kitty crown.
All Dodger fans are welcome and the event is free with a ticket for Sunday's game.
