Spadafora Fights Saturday
NESportsTV.com online PPV presents a double-header this Saturday night at 7PM. In the main event, undefeated former IBF lightweight champion Paul Spadafora (45-0-1, 19 KO's) takes on Puerto Rican journeyman Wilfredo Negron (26-16-1, 19 KO's). In the co-feature, former world title challenger Brian MInto (36-5, 23 KO's) takes on former West Virginia state heavyweight champion Mike Sheppard (20-13-1, 9 KO's) for the vacant WBA NABA Heavyweight title.
This broadcast will mark Spadafora's first fight in over a year and a half. Spadafora, former IBF lightweight champ, sports one of the best records in boxing and never lost his world title inside the ring because he vacated the title to move up in weight. His opponent, Negron, has recorded a win over former world champion Saul Duran and fought Zab Judah for a vacant junior welterweight title in 1999.
This fight will mark Minto's fourth fight ever on NESportsTV.com. Minto has defeated previously unbeaten Donnell Wilson and Australian cruiserweight Pierre Karam on NESportsTV.com PPV. He also challenger for the WBO cruiserweight title against Marco Huck on this website. Sheppard is a well traveled journeyman who has weon 5 of his last 6 fights.
