Raging Babe Brunch Spotlights Claudia Trejos of ESPN
Las Vegas (April 3, 2014) – The Raging Babe Brunch III presented by Mayweather Promotions will take place on the morning of the highly anticipated event “THE MOMENT: Mayweather vs. Maidana” at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas at 10:00 a.m. PT. The vision for this intimate event is to build a powerful network comprised of women who work hard and play a key role in the sport of boxing, in addition to recognizing some of its pioneers.
Alongside its theme of uniting influential women in the sport of boxing, the brunch honors a woman in the industry whose work does not go unnoticed. This year’s honoree is Claudia Trejos of ESPN/ESPN Deportes. She made history in 2004 by becoming the first female to report on Olympic boxing, and has worked her way up from calling Spanish-language broadcasts like Solo Boxeo to now being a bilingual boxing reporter for ESPN. Her hard work and drive has led to her becoming one of the most highly respected people in her field. Past honorees were Jackie Kallen and Kelly Swanson respectively.
In addition, well-known boxing public relations agency Swanson Communications will provide a financial contribution to make it possible for six female communications and marketing college students to attend the event and network with distinguished guests.
This event open is to the public for the first time and tickets are on sale now. Tickets are just $75. Included with admission are an all-you-can-eat brunch, fresh mimosas, a gift bag and a keepsake photo. Ticket can be purchased in advance at www.RagingBabe.com. Seating is limited and is available on a first come, first serve basis.
“The brunch has grown tremendously. This is something that couldn’t have been accomplished without the continued role that Mayweather Promotions plays in making these events possible,” stated Michelle Rosado, President, Raging Babe. “The unlimited potential that this event has come by way of the backing by all of our supporters and the presence of our guests. I am truly honored and grateful to have such a rounded and elite group of women making the Raging Babe Bruch everything that it is today”.
It’s always a pleasure to work with Michelle Rosado in putting this event together and we’re pleased to be a part of the Raging Babe Brunch for third time,” said Nicole Craig, Director of Operations, Mayweather Promotions. Boxing is a tough business inside and outside of the ring. We believe in what Raging Babe stands for; passion, determination, business, loyalty and grind. Our whole team works hard to plan the Raging Babe Brunch and we feel that the time and energy put in to this function is well spent. We look forward to bringing many more of these events that present the opportunity to be amongst those that many of us work so closely with, as well as new networking opportunities now that the event is open to the public.”
