Los Angeles, CA February 26, 2015) Undefeated and world ranked heavyweight “Prince” Charles Martin breaks training camp today in Big Bear Lake, California and heads to Phoenix, Arizona for his 10-round Saturday Night Showdown this week against Raphael Zumbano Love at the Celebrity Theatre. The fight will be streamed LIVE by Martin’s promoter, King Sports at their upgraded website, www.KingSportsWorldwide.com.
“Camp went very well, really we never stopped training after the fight on January 9th (a first round knockout of Damon McCreary), me and my trainer, Jamal Abdullah are always working and trying to get better” said the 28-year-old Martin.
An original member of King Sports’ acclaimed All-American Heavyweights amateur program, Martin has truly blossomed as he enters the ring with a record of 19-0-1 (17KO’s) against Love,
“Right from the start King Sports provided us with the necessary structure to be successful. From the best sparring to the nutritionists, they’ve truly put me in a position to succeed. And I’m ready to do just that.”
Currently ranked #5 by the World Boxing Organization and #9 by the International Boxing Federation, Martin, faces the battle tested Love, 35-9-1 (28KO’s) of Las Vegas, Nevada via Sao Paolo, Brazil in defense of his NABO Heavyweight Title knowing how important a victory is.
“This is my breakout year. I’m ready for any top ten-rated heavyweight in any of the sanctioning bodies right now.
Said Michael King of King Sports, “Charles is a prime example of what we’ve accomplished at King Sports and previously at All-American Heavyweight. We took him in as an amateur with no boxing experience whatsoever and have supported and guided him as a pro, this year he will have the opportunity every fighter looks for – prove to the world how good he is and move towards a world title fight.”
“We look forward to another knockout performance from Charles and are happy to give fans worldwide the opportunity to watch it LIVE on our website.”
