Johan Perez vs. Dmitry Mikhaylenko is a 12-round welterweight title bout for Perez’s NABA Welterweight Title, presented by Golden Boy Promotions and sponsored by Corona Extra and Mexico, Live It To Believe It! Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the first bell rings at 5:30 p.m. The HBO Latino telecast airs live at 10:30 p.m. (live ET/tape-delayed PT).

Former interim WBA light welterweight champion, Johan Perez from Caracas, Venezuela, made his professional debut in March 2005 and racked up an impressive 14 wins before falling to the always-tough Pablo Cesar Cano in July 2012. He immediately rebounded with a win against Steve Forbes when he made his U.S. debut in January 2013 and continued his streak with three additional wins. After a defeat at the hands of Mauricio Herrera, Perez triumphed over Humberto Mauro Gutierrez in his first bout of 2015 and looks to extend his streak on August 8.

Hailing from Krasnodar, Russia, Dmitry Mikhaylenko made his professional debut against Ivan Kaberkon in July 2009. The fighter accumulated 16 wins in his home country before making his U.S. professional debut. He boasts recent victories over Felipe De la Paz Teniente, Ronald Cruz, and Sechew Powell. He will look to continue his impressive winning streak in his third fight in the U.S.

Hailing from Ciego de Avila, Cuba, but now fighting out of Miami, Florida, Yoandris Salinas is looking to get back into the world title contention game. A professional since 2009, Salinas has remained consistently active earning the WBC Latino Super Bantamweight Title and the WBA Fedebol Super Bantamweight Title. Salinas got his shot at the WBA Super Bantamweight World Title in 2013 against Scott Quigg, delivering an action-packed and equally matched fight that resulted in a draw. Now coming off of a victory against Ricardo Alvarado in April of 2015, Salinas is determined to prove he is still in the title game when he goes up against Manuel “Tino” Avila for the vacant Interim NABF Super Bantamweight Title.

The undefeated standout Manuel “Tino” Avila of Fairfield, Calif. has taken the local boxing scene by storm since his professional debut at Fight Night Club at Club Nokia in Los Angeles in 2010. 2014 was a busy year for Avila, as he took on and defeated Enrique Quevedo, David De La Mora, and Sergio Frias. In his first bout of 2015, the Fairfield, Calif. native defeated Erick Ruiz, via unanimous decision on May 7. Now, facing the toughest opponent of his career in the experienced Yoandris Salinas, Avila is ready to prove that he has what it takes to become a world champion on August 8.

Tevin Farmer of Philadelphia made his professional debut against Oscar Santana in February 2011, and after four early losses, has rebounded racking up an impressive record of 19 wins against such recent formidable opponents as Angel Luna, Vicktor Chernous, Dominic Coca, Emanuel Gonzalez, and Noel Echevarria. Farmer will look to add to his current twelve-fight winning streak as he makes his Indio-debut at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.

Daulis Prescott has boxing in his blood-his father and grandfather were boxers and trainers, and his brother Breidis Prescott was a professional fighter with a stellar record. Prescott made a big splash with his professional debut in 2006, winning by technical knockout over opponent Armando Velasquez. Since then, Prescott has impressed by collecting wins via knockout 22 times. Prescott will return to the U.S. after a three-year absence on Aug. 8, seeking to secure the win over Farmer.

Hailing from Balleybofey in County Donegal, Ireland, the 24-year-old Jason Quigley had an outstanding amateur career becoming the first Irish fighter to win a Silver medal at the AIBA World Amateur Boxing Championships in 2013. He started his professional career in 2014 and has quickly garnered attention by ending each fight via knockout against Howard Reece, Fernando Najera, and Greg McCoy. Quigley has continued his wins-by-knockout streak by taking down Lanny Dardar, Tolutomi Agunbiade, Joshua Snyder and most recently Tom Howard on the undercard of Herrera vs. Lundy July 11 at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena. On Aug. 8, Quigley will look to maintain his perfect record with yet another knockout win against Eddie Hunter.
