First Wladimir Klitschko Fight of 2015 Could Be In NYC

Wladimir Klitschko is still the top dog in the heavyweight division, but his Q Score rating in the US isn’t what it could be, simply because he stages most of his bouts in his nation of residence, Germany.

But Klitschko’s buzz-factor in the US could get a boost, I’m hearing on the street, because his next bout, after he deals with Kubrat Pulev (age 33; 20-0 with 11 KOs) on Nov. 15 in Hamburg, could be held in America, and in New York.

Rumor is that Bernd Bonte was making the rounds in NYC this week, talking to all the usual suspects when one is planning to stage a bout in the greatest city in the world, and wishes to televise that event. Bonte is the 38-year-old Wlad’s right-hand manager regarding the Klitschko promotional entity which serves as the stagers for the supremely talented brothers from the Ukraine, Vitali, who now fights within the political arena, and younger brother Wladimir, who holds the IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight crowns.

When the 62-3 Wladimir might glove up after the November meetup against and against who isn’t clear, but it seems like chances are good that his next scrap will take place in NYC. Watch this space, and follow me on Twitter for more on this issue.
