Abel Sanchez Says This Guy Will Be A Bit Like Golovkin
Hey you guys, Abel Sanchez has done a solid job with Gennady Golovkin, right?
We agree on that; so, I think it prudent that we honor his track record, with the Terry Norris’ of the world, and note the rise of Triple G, and thus open our ears an extra measure when he tells us, as he told me the other day, that he’s working with another future champ.
Who’s that, Abel?
Murat Gassiev is his name, and he fought last night in Russia. Sanchez oversaw the scrap, and saw the 6-3 Russian cruiserweight pick up a TKO1 win, and the IBF intercontinental cruiser crown, over Engin Karakaplan (12-5-1) in a town called Vladikavkaz.
So, how good is this 21 year old?
“He’ll be a world champion in three more fights,” Sanchez told me. “He just turned 21, by the time he fights for a world title, in six months, he will be dominant like Golovkin, aggressive, mean and entertaining!”
What the heck is not to like about that?
And so what style doe she fight in?
“My style,” said the Cali based tutor.
And who would he remind us of? “He fights in my style, GGG, JC Sr, Julian Jackson, Terry Norris that fought Donald Curry, this is my first fight with him and the transformation is obvious, he’s a stalker, a predator with a purpose and a plan!”
Sanchez said that he isn’t signed to any of the usual suspects here in States. “He’s with a local group right now, but will break out very soon,” he stated. “Against Karakaplan, he fought in the style I try to teach: aggressive, patient, calculating, destructive and mean…but most of all, entertaining.”
Noted…and again, what’s not to like. See you soon, Gassiev…
