Feigenbutz vs De Carolis – Complete Results From Germany

The World Boxing Association's World Super Middleweight Title is going home with Giovanni De Carolis, as the rugged Italian took advantage of his second shot at Germany's Vincent Feigenbutz by stopping him in the eleventh round of their re-match to take home the strap.

The pair first met last October when Feigenbutz escaped with a narrow (115-113, 114-113, 115-113) unanimous decision that many observers gave to De Carolis.  The disputed outcome the first time around gave the re-match some extra heat, as the 20 year old Feigenbutz' confidence struck many as arrogance.  De Carolis came in determined to not leave it in the hands of the judges this time around and he was aggressive throughout the fight.  Feigenbutz was the harder hitter and he did land good punches on occasion, but De Carolis fought well throughout the fight and he earned the referee's stoppage early in the eleventh round.  De Carolis offered Feigenbutz the trilogy closing bout afterwards, and the Italian said it while wearing the IBF World Super middleweight title around his waist.

On the undercard, British heavyweight Dereck Chisora, who was a late addition to the card, stopped journeyman Andras Csomor in the second round of their scheduled eight rounder.  For Chisora, it is his fifth win since July of 2015, as he has moved his record to (25-5) overall and he continues to jockey for position in what has become a crowded heavywright division.  Up next for Chisora is likely an April fight with Robert Helenius of Finland (22-0) for the European heavyweight title.
